Raw Vegan Pizza Crust and Marinara Sauce

Equipment for both pizza crust & sauce:

Crust ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Soak almonds and raisins/dried apricots in a bowl with water while prepping the other ingredients.
  2. Chop up the onion into small pieces (about 1cm by 1cm).
  3. Place the apple cider vinegar, chopped onion, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and any other seasonings you would like to add into your blender or food processor. Mince for about 2-3 seconds. Push down sides with a spatula and repeat for another 2-3 seconds.
  4. Drain the almonds and raisins/dried apricots and add to the blender. Mince for about 2-3 seconds. Push down sides with a spatula and repeat for another 2-3 seconds.
  5. Work the flax and chia seed mixture into the blended mixture in the blender with a spatula. Then remove entire mixture and kneed, press dough into a large ball for a big pizza dough, or into 4 smaller balls for mini pizzas. Flatten the ball out and sprinkle some more flax meal on top if desired.
  6. Place in dehydrator (no need for dehydrator sheets) and dehydrate at 115 degrees for about 18 hours. When the dough is both crispy and still soft, it is ready to be devoured!

Marinara pizza sauce ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor. This sauce is nice and thick and keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days in a sealed jar.
  2. Top your crust with this sauce, and add any and all veggies possible! Enjoy!
