I just LOVE documentaries. Literally about anything. But here are a few I think anyone interested in veganism should consider watching:
- Earthlings (2005). This docu is about our total dependence on animals for economic purposes. Saying this docu is horrifying is an understatement. After watching this docu, I became “suddenlyraw” the next day.
- Cowspiracy (2014). This docu is about animal agriculture. More importantly, it is about how animal agriculture is destroying our planet. Think deforestation, pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zone”, just to name a few. By eating ONE burger you waste as much water as you need to shower for an ENTIRE month. Disturbed yet?
- Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead (2011). Everyone should juice. I am fairly new to juicing myself but it makes SO much sense. The concept is simple: you will get more nutrients by juicing your fruits and veggies than by just eating eating them because you can drink 1 jar of pure celery juice which equates to about 2-3 pounds of actual celery. Can you eat 2-3 pounds of celery? Probably not.
